Mouses and Monsters and Nuns! Oh My!

Well it has been a busy couple of months since my first and last post. I hope to keep this blog updated now with insights into how I design, and

After Frankenstein and Stellaluna opened, I went right into Nuncrackers (no photos yet). Bronwyn, our oldest daughter, was cast as one of the school kids. It was fun to work on a show together, hopefully the first of many with my girls.

We made it through Christmas, the New Year, and several other holidays, and now we are about to open a very funny show, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, based on the children's book. Joel Farnsworth, our Master Carpenter, designed the set, and I designed and fabricated the Mouse's head. Shawn Mortensen is playing the Boy, and Ben Wille is playing the Mouse. Both are very funny and they really bring the characters to life. We open tomorrow at 10am for a three week run.

Also opening in about two weeks is Mortal Fools Theatre Project's 2nd production, The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams. Jennifer is producing, with David Morgan directing. Featuring Reese Purser, Stephanie Breinholt, Karen Baird, and Daryl Ball. I did the set design, and Josh Gubler is doing lights. It runs from March 12th - 27th at the Provo Theater Company.

At the SCERA Shell this summer we will be doing Funny Girl in June directed by Jennifer Reed, Willy Wonka in July directed by Mindy Young, and Annie Get Your Gun in August directed by Jerry Elison. More on those will be discussed in a later post.

The next couple of posts I hope to start adding photos info from my past shows.
